What is Tides Pro?
Tides Pro is the website of the Tides Pro app. It uses the same calculation engine as the app to publish, port by port, the tides of every day: times and heights of high and low water, range, coefficient where it is used, Moon and Sun, in each port's local time. It also has guides to read a tide table, with their sources.
We cover 412 ports in the United States, Canada, France, Spain, Portugal and Mexico, the countries where the app is sold. Every port has been compared with the official prediction of its country before being published. For Spain in Spanish, our sister site is tablamareas.es.
Who is behind it?
Tides Pro and the Tides Pro app are made by Natural Apps, which makes apps for iPhone and Apple Watch. The app also has its own page at natural-apps.com.
How do we work?
- We compare the engine with the official predictions of each country (NOAA, the Canadian Hydrographic Service, the SHOM, the Instituto Hidrográfico de la Marina and the Instituto Hidrográfico of Portugal) and publish the results in the methodology, including what is still pending.
- We only publish ports that pass that comparison.
- Our guides cite official bodies and show the date of their last review.
- We say what the tables do not include: wind, air pressure and the reference level of the heights.
How can I contact you?
Write to natural.learning.apps@gmail.com. If you see an error in a table, tell us the port, the day and the time.
