What does the coefficient mean?

A low coefficient (neap tides) means little difference between high and low water; a high one (spring tides), a lot. It runs from 20 to 120 and is the same number all along the Atlantic coast of Europe; the metres change from port to port.

When are the next spring tides?

The next spring tides run from October 27 to October 30. Spring tide calendar.

Where does the coefficient come from?

The coefficient uses the Brest reference and the 20–120 scale of the SHOM, the French hydrographic service, computed by the Tides Pro engine.
